The Bill (Reg. No. 4693) extends application of a "green tariff" for electricity generated with use of alternative energy sources onto blast-furnace and coke gases and waste energy capacity of technological processes.
The Bill facilitates realization of State policy aimed at the development of alternative energy sources determined by the Law "On Alternative Energy Sources" to save fuel and energy resources and create favourable conditions for Ukraine´s activity at the European Electric Power Market.
Pursuant to the Bill, the rate of "a green tariff" for the economic entities generating electricity by means of transformation of waste energy capacity of technological processes shall be equal to the retail rate for the consumers of second-category tension as of January 2009 multiplied by a "green tariff" coefficient for electricity generated by means of transformation of waste energy capacity of technological processes.
